Camping

For many families, camping is where it’s at! It’s been a fundamental part of Scouting since it started over 100 years ago. After all, “a week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room,” said Lord Baden-Powell, BSA’s founder.

Pack 751 Richardson goes on two pack-wide camping trips per year, spring and fall. Some memorable recent trips have seen us at:

  • Enchanted Rock State Park in Central Texas
  • NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston
  • Camp Constantin on Possum Kingdom Lake
  • Robber’s Cave State Park in
    Wilburton, Okla.
  • Lake Murray State Park in Ardmore, Okla.
  • Camp Wisdom in Dallas
As we get closer to our next camping trip, more information will be available from your Den Leader and the Pack.
